St Anthony’s School
“Directline Structures' involvement throughout has been excellent. A clear understanding of the requirements has been demonstrated and as client representative I am very happy with the level of service provided, often over and beyond the traditional role of the architect on a design and build contract. The project was procured by Kent Council at an early stage, with a flexible brief that enabled Directline Structures to develop an appropriate scheme to suit the requirements of Kent County Council and the end users, St Anthony's School.”
Chris Mains, Project Manager at KCC for St Anthony's School
A Kent County Council project for a special needs school in Margate, Kent. The brief was a new 3 court sports hall with changing accommodation, as well as a new entrance for the school with offices and reception.
Numerous sports hall schemes had been proposed over the years for the school, but none had made it to fruition. This made it even more special to hand over the new facility to them when they hadn’t believed it would ever happen.
Directline Structures were invited to tender for the project based on an outline design, which had not gone to planning yet. By applying our Design and Build, and in particular Sports Hall design, experience we were able to improve the design and save the client money.
