Directline Structures win Constructing Excellence Award

We have been awarded first place in the SME Category of the annual Constructing Excellence Awards. The competition attracted hundreds of entries and Directline Structures were chosen as winners on the basis of the design and construction of Orbital House, our new Headquarters Building in Ashford, Kent. The new building is in Orbital Park and special care was required in the design stages to enhance the appearance of the area. Sustainability was also a major factor in the design, and the building features rainwater harvesting, air source heating and other environmentally friendly features. Managing Director Duncan Murray commented; ‘Designing our own building gave us the opportunity to practice what we preach and prove that a sustainable building can be cost effective, good looking and a pleasant place to work. Sustainability also results in lower running costs and enhances the long-term value of the building. We are very proud to win this award and it reflects well on our team.’
